Obituary for ORONA

Amalia "Molly" Orona, 88, a long-time resident of Albuquerque since 1940, died Saturday, February 10, 2007. She is survived by her children; John Orona and wife, Gloria, daughter-in-law, Irene Orona, Theresa Anderson; 11 grandchildren, Debra, Leslie, Steven Clifford, Sharon, Leonard, Mark, Felicia, Kenny, Rodney, Albert and James; ten great grandchildren, Bobby, Joshua, Matthew, Nicholas, Phillip, Benjamin, Steven Jr., Brianna, Joey, and Jeremy; three great-great grandchildren, Steven III, Jordan and Natlie Molly; two sisters; and numerous other relatives and friends. Molly was preceded in death by her daughter, Mary Ann Anderson-Dixon; her son, Jim Orona; three sisters; and three brothers. She was born on April 10, 1918 in Corrales, NM to Juan and Petrita Gutierrez. Molly was a long time member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great and great-great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Friends may visit French Mortuary, 7121 Wyoming Blvd. NE Friday, February 16, 2007 from 5:00 p.m. to Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Tennessee NE, Saturday, February 17, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. with Father Michael Cimino, Celebrant. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park, 924 Menaul Blvd. NE. A reception will follow the burial.
