Gregory Joseph Florez Fitt, age 32, of Albuquerque, passed away February 2, 2007, surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was born on July 11, 1974, the loving son of Katrina Florez Fitt and Jeffrey Dean Fitt, of Los Lunas, NM. He married Cynthia Marie French and had two children. He earned his Associate's Degree in Business and was currently employed as a Recruiter for the U.S. Navy, having enlisted in 1993. He served in Iraqi Freedom, Operation Desert Shield, and Operation Enduring Freedom. During his service, Gregory earned a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and six Navy Marine Corps Achievement medals, as well as many others. Gregory enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family, and he will be remembered as a loving son, father, and brother. He is survived by his Los Lunas family: parents, Katrina and Jeffrey Fitt; mother of his children, Cynthia Marie French; loving children, Kevin Michael and Alicia Mercedes Fitt; brother, Matthew Florez Fitt; and grandparents, Jose and Florence Florez of Blanco, NM. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 6 p.m. in the Berardinelli Family Chapel, followed by Rosary at 7 p.m., also at Berardinelli. Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 10 a.m. at St. Francis Cathedral. Interment at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
