Emerlinda Crespin "Nina", age 76, was born February 9, 1930 in Trujillo, NM and moved to Alameda, NM in 1941. She went to be with our Lord on Thursday, February 1, 2007. Emerlinda "Nina" worked as a nursing assistant for many years. After she stopped working, she devoted herself to caring for her grandmother, mother, and father. Nina was an active member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church and their Altar and Rosary Society. Nephews and nieces described her as "St Francis of Assisi" because of her love of all creatures. Nina, we love you very much and you will be greatly missed. Nina was preceded in death by her mother, Amada; her father, Pedro; brothers, Herman, Anieceto, Mike, and Julio Crespin. She is survived by her sister, Tina Martinez and husband, Andres; brothers, Tony Crespin and wife, Frances, Joe Crespin and wife, Jennie, Juan Crespin; sister, Mary Rita Jaramillo and husband, Leon; sisters-in-law, Josephine LeFebre and Connie Crespin; uncles, Roman Duran and wife, Ruby and Felipe Hernandez; nieces and nephews, that were like her own children, Trudy and Steve Padilla and Leon Jaramillo II; many other nieces and nephews, as well as other family members and friends who she loved very much. Services will be held at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church on 4th and Alameda NW. A Rosary will be recited on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow at San Carlos Cemetery on Alameda east of the Church. Pallbearers will be Marc Padilla, Leon Jaramillo III, Erik Baca, Jason Wolfel, Eddie Crespin, and Steve Torrez. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, ABQ. 505-343-8008.
