Edward J. Bourgeois, age 84, beloved and devoted husband, father, and grandfather, great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home while surrounded by his loving family, Tuesday, January 23, 2007. Edward was born in Shelburne, VT, and was a resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was a proud Veteran of the United States Marine Corps, who served his country in the South Pacific, he was a avid hunter who enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved spending time with his family, and loved wildlife. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Florence A. Bourgeois of the family home; his children, Jon and wife, Christine, Alan, and Janice Bourgeois and Terry Lockyer; grandchildren, Brittney, Kristopher, Lauren Bourgeois, Benjamin Lockyer and wife, Brigitte, Daniel and Steven Lockyer; great-grandchildren, Zachery Metz, Trinity, Keaton, and Skyler Bourgeois; and other beloved family members and friends. Edward will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends. A Memorial Mass for Edward will be celebrated Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho. At the family's request, in lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to charities of your choice.
