Obituary for CORDOVA

Rocque (Rocky) J. Cordova, age 52, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his loving family, Saturday, January 20, 2007. Rocky was born on August 28, 1954 in Jaroso, CO, and was a longtime resident of Albuquerque, NM. He graduated from Valley High School in 1973, than went on to serve his country in the United States Army. He worked for Gardunos de Mexico Restaurant for 26 years. Rocky was a very loving, kindhearted and generous person, who could put a smile in everyone's face, and with his sense of humor make people laugh at a drop of a hat. Rocky is survived by his loving parents, Toney and Mina Cordova; three brothers, Anthony, Bobby, and Leonard Cordova; his children, Jennifer Tigges and husband, Jamie and Joseph Cordova; his grandchildren, Mariah, Daniel, Isaish; numerous nieces, nephews, and other beloved family members and friends. Rocky will be greatly missed by his loving family and the people whose lives he touched. A Rosary will be recited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church. Funeral Services will be conducted Thursday morning at 9:00 a.m. also at the Church. Interment will follow at Sandia Memory Gardens. Pallbearers will be, Leonard Cordova, Anthony Cordova, Augustine Crespin, Chris Trujillo, David Cordova, Randy Gallegos, Jamie Tigges, and Dale Medina. Honorary bearer will be Allen Gallegos.
