Juanita C. Starks, longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away January 18, 2007 after a brief illness. Mrs. Starks, who was born in Beaumont, TX, was married to USMC Master Sergeant L.A. Starks, owner of Stark's Cleaning Service, for 43 years. A very civic minded person, Mrs. Starks was a member of the National Council of Negro Women, chaired the Ebony Fashion Fair and was a member of the Sickle Cell Council of New Mexico. A Memorial Service in her honor will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Lomas Blvd. Chapel, located at 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE, Albuquerque, New Mexico.
