Charles E Roehrig, was born January 7, 1923, in Louisville, KY. He died January 13, 2007, in Albuquerque, NM, surrounded by his family. On May 23, 1946, he married his sweetheart Frances Jo (Dils) Roehrig in Belen, NM. He is survived by his sons, Donnie of Rutheron, NM; Steve and wife Mary of Edgewood, NM; grandson Nate and wife Chamisa, and great-grandson Cole, all of Albuquerque; granddaughters Nicole of Albuquerque and Jessica currently in South Korea; a special nephew, Louis Huning and family of Los Lunas, NM; and brother, William Roehrig and wife Helen of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by many other loving relatives and friends. Charles was a WWII veteran, having served his country proudly in the European Theatre. He retired from Sandia National Laboratories in 1981 and moved to Rutheron, NM, to build his dream home in the mountains, surrounded by the beauty of God's nature and animals. He enjoyed time spent camping, hunting, and fishing, and the family's travels to see the world. Charles will be remembered in two services officiated by Rev. David Bachelor: Thursday, January 18, 11:00 a.m. at Mountainside United Methodist Church, 4 Penny Lane, Cedar Crest, NM, and Friday, January 19, 11:00 a.m., at Shroyer Community Center, Laguna Vista Estates, Rutheron, NM.
