Charles E. Coffey, age 79 and a resident of Albuquerque for 48 years died Friday January 12, 2007 following an illness. Mr. Coffey is survived by his wife of 54 years Sue Coffey; one daughter Cheryl Coffey; one son Wayne Coffey and his wife Marilyn all of Albuquerque; two grandchildren Douglas and Kyle Coffey; one brother Ralph Coffey and his wife Wanda of Oklahoma City, OK; one sister-in-law Mary E. Nelson and her husband Bill of Bothell, WA; and several nieces and nephews. Charles was a Navy Veteran and a member of Holiday Bowl Senior Men's Bowling League. A viewing and visitation will be held Monday January 15, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. Funeral services will be held Tuesday January 16, 2007 in the Main Chapel of Fitzgerald and Son Funeral Directors with Pastor Alan Hawkins officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery. The family requests that donations be made to Presbyterian Hospice or the New Mexico Cancer Center.
