Ruth O. Mehring, our mother, joined our Lord and Savior on Friday, January 5, 2007, at the age of 76. Born in Monte Vista, CO, to Phoebe and Ely Martinez, Ruth was one of nine children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Mehring Sr., and her daughter, Rhonda Griffin. Ruth is survived by her four daughters, Phoebe Ergul, Phyllis Ward, Debra Cabarrus, and Pamela Watson; her son, Donald Mehring Jr.; her sisters, Charlotte Romero, Miriam Weidner, Phoebe Lott, and Sylvia Dineen; her brothers, Saul Martinez and Hiram Martinez; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren, and many nephews and nieces whom she loved dearly. A Fellowship will be held at Fruit Avenue Baptist Church, 812 Fruit Ave. NW, on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. Please join us to celebrate her life and mourn her passing.
