Obituary for KITCHENS

Frances C. Kitchens, 77, a resident of Albuquerque since 1959, went to Heaven on Monday January 1, 2007. She is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, Marvin Kitchens of the family home; her two sons, Steve Kitchens of Bosque Farms, and Keith Kitchens of Albuquerque; great-grandson, Avren Lee of Dallas, TX. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her one grandson, Justin Lee Kitchens. Frances was born in Dallas, TX on January 10, 1929 and later moved to Carlsbad, NM at the age of nine where she graduated high school. She then began working for the Chamber of Commerce and the family grocery store where she met Marvin Kitchens, who was from Oklahoma. Together they left Carlsbad and moved to Albuquerque where they settled and began their family. Frances belonged to Hoffmantown Baptist Church, volunteered at Anna Kaseman Hospital, Meals On Wheels, and many other organizations. She is loved and will be deeply missed. Services will be held on Monday January 8, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at French Mortuary., Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Friends and family may visit French Mortuary on Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Carrie Tingley Hospital Foundation, 700 Lomas Blvd. NE, Suite 204, Albuquerque, 87102.
