Mary H. Sanchez, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, born November 7, 1924 went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. She is survived by her children, sons, Henry Sanchez and wife, Angel, Fred Sanchez and wife, Bernice, Silvio Sanchez and wife, Debbie, and Anthony Sanchez; daughters, Gloria Velarde, Carol Tafoya and husband, Ed, Sylvia Swartz and husband, Bill, Judy Garcia and husband, Jorge, Ann Sanchez and Chris Lucero; many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Valencia and wife, Tina; sisters, Josephine Hernandez and husband, Joe, Bobbi Lovato and husband, Joe, Annie Cohen and husband, Louis and Melba Magills. She was preceded in death by her husband, Silvio Sanchez; her mother and father, Paul and Josephine Valencia; a daughter Tomasita; and a son, Randy. Mary and Silvio were married in 1944 and began raising their family, which grew to 11 children. Mary dearly loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and enjoyed taking care of them. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who came to know her. A Rosary will be held Friday December 22, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Church in Old Town.
