Obituary for MONTOYA

Jose Santos Montoya, born on May 5, 1915, to parents, Vicente Montoya and Pablita Chavez, passed away in his home, on Tuesday morning, December 19, 2006. Born in Torreon, NM, Santos was a lifelong resident of New Mexico, at 91 years of age, and retired from Albuquerque Public Schools in 1982. He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Montoya, and his brother, Max Montoya. Santos is survived by his daughter, M.J. Duran; his three sons, Tony Duran and wife, Debbie, Jimmy Duran, and Max Flores; his three sisters, Candy Alderete, Katy Nunez, and Oralia Trujillo; his three brothers, Ben Montoya, Rudy Montoya, and Frank Montoya; ten grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews, all of Albuquerque, NM. A visitation will be held, Wednesday, December 20, 2006, at Strong-Thorne Mortuary, with a Rosary and Mass to follow on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Sunset Memorial Park-Chapel.
