Carlos Lovato Jr., 76, a lifelong resident of Albuquerque, died Saturday, December 16, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Andrea Lovato; sons, John and wife, Mary Lovato, Tony and wife, Gerri Lovato, Joseph and wife, Margie Lovato, Martin and wife, Mary Lovato and Charlie Lovato; daughters, Roma and husband, Floyd Sanchez, Dorothy and husband, James Martinez, Virginia Bryant, Therese and husband, Sean Altamirano; brothers, Larry and wife, Elaine Lovato, Tony and Irene Lovato, Gilbert and wife, Marcella Lovato; sisters, Flora and husband, Orlando Armijo, Dora Pacias, Jenny Lovato, Barbara and husband, Charlie Chavez, Christy Ortega, Lorraine Alvarez, Eva and husband, Prospero Lucero and Anna Lovato; sister-in-law, Becky Lovato; 25 grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by Ramona and Ted Padilla and Victor Lovato. Carlos was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He always worked multiple jobs to support his family. He retired from Civil Service in 1989 after many years of service. Carlos loved to cook wonderful meals for family gatherings, especially the holidays. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Rosary will be recited on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary Westside Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 9:00 a.m. at St. Joseph on the Rio Grande Catholic Church with Fr. Lambert Luna, celebrant.
