Brenda Gnerich, 56, a resident of Albuquerque and Rio Rancho since the early 1970s, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2006. Brenda was born February 7, 1950, the daughter of Lisa L. and Elbert E. Morton in Orange County, Texas. Brenda graduated from the University of New Mexico in 1979 with a B.B.A. and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1984. Brenda was a licensed pilot and loved to fly cross country as well as riding her motorcycle and skiing. Her favorite holiday was the 4th of July of which no one celebrated bigger. Brenda is preceded in death by her father, "Bill" Morton in 1980 and one brother, Billy E. Morton, in 1991. She is survived by her mother, Lisa L. Vargo and her stepfather, Emery Robert Vargo; three children, Tim Gnerich, James Chumley, and Jennifer Swanson; seven grandchildren, Christal, Savahana, Breanna, Shyanne, Payton, James II, and Charlotte; brothers, Royce Morton and Robert Vargo; sister, Susan Morton; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service and celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, January 7, 2007 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Daniels Family Funeral Services, at Vista Verde Memorial Park, Sara Rd. at Meadowlark Ln., Rio Rancho.
