Obituary for HETZEL

Carol Catherine (Williams) Hetzel was born on December 17, 1914 to Katherine and Owen C. Williams in Randolph, Wisconsin. She died on December 10, 2006 in Plano, Texas. Carol spent most of her adult life in the Midwest where she was married twice and had a daughter Judi from her first marriage and son, Richard, from her second marriage. Her second husband had a daughter, Carol, who became like a daughter to her. Carol and her husband, George Hetzel, moved to Albuquerque in 1981, where her husband died in 1984. Carol was in Albuquerque until 1999. She moved at that time to Santa Fe and stayed there until 2005 when she moved to Plano. Carol enjoyed living and working in Albuquerque. She enjoyed participating in many various church activities. She was also a regular volunteer for many years for Meals On Wheels and Caseman Hospital. She is survived by a brother, Owen C. (Curt) Williams and his wife, Sally. Additionally, she is survived by her only son, Richard W. Hetzel and wife, Nicke; granddaughter, Leah Hetzel; daughter, Judith M. O'Connell and husband, Maurice; grandson, Steven W. Larsen; step-daughter, Carol Ann Pyburn. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John's United Methodist Church on Thursday, December 14, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Carol's name may be made to Hospice, Alzheimer's Assoc., or Meals On Wheels.
