Obituary for CORDES

Richard Vernon Cordes II, 56, a resident of Houston, TX, died November 28, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Cordes; son, Matthew Cordes of Houston, TX; daughter, Natalie Berry; granddaughter, Steely Berry, both of Dallas, TX; daughter Tiffany Lawson of Eldridge, AL; father, Bruce Dunmore; sisters, Tame Butler, Shelly Phelan and husband, Doug Phelan of Albuquerque; brothers, Dave Dunmore, and wife, Chriss of Baltimore, MD, and Mike Dunmore and wife, Che of Manilla, Phillipines. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ramona Dunmore of Albuquerque. Richard was on assignment in Seoul South, Korea for 18 months, where he completed an engineering project for LG Dow as a project engineer. He worked for PNM, while attending UNM in Albuquerque, where he graduated in 1980. He worked with Phillips Petroleum for 16 years and 5 years with Union Carbide. Richard served in the 26th Marines in Vietnam and was awarded the Vietnam Service Metal with 1 Star, Purple Heart and Combat Action Ribbon. Memorial Services will be held Monday, December 11, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at French Mortuary, Lomas Blvd. Chapel, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Interment will take place at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, NM Affiliate, P.O.
