Obituary for CHAVEZ

Felimon B., 83, of Albuquerque, passed away December 5, 2006. Mr. Chavez was born in Polvadera, New Mexico, the son of the late Filomeno and Felesita Chavez. A veteran of the U.S. Army, Mr. Chavez was retired from the U.S. Civil Service where he served as an Administrator at Kirtland A.F.B. for over 28 years. He also was a lifetime member of the American Legion Post 99 in Albuquerque. Preceded in death by his wife, Teresa, in 1993, and a brother, Tommy Chavez in 2006. He is survived by daughter, Maxine Chavez; granddaughters, Rene and Bobby Jo; sisters, Lucy Carrasco, Gertrude Sedillo and Frances Mora; brothers, Nestor Chavez, Ray Chavez, Eddie Chavez and Frank Chavez as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation and viewing will begin at 3:00 p.m. and a Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, December 10th, in the chapel of Garcia Mortuary, 717 Stover SW. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 a.m. in the sanctuary of The Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, Father Andrew Pavlak, celebrant. Pallbearers will be; Daniel Chavez and Dennis Chavez, Jaime Mora, Michael Sedillo, Anthony Chavez and Johnny Ray Chavez; honorary pallbearers to be members of the American Legion Post 99.
