Clara Lankford Armayor passed away peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2006 in Midland, TX. Clara was born on October 31, 1914 in Indianapolis, IN to the Late Dr. Joseph Fredrick Lankford and Mary Sears Lankford. She graduated from Key West High School and attended Florida State where she received her degree in Bachelors in Science. She taught at Key West High School for several years. Clara met and married Arthur (Nevy) Vincent Armayor in September of 1941. They lived in Albuquerque, NM from 1952 to 2003. Clara enjoyed gardening, animals, travel, art collecting and reading. She was very supportive of her husbands' endeavors and a loving mother that encouraged her children and grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband. She is survived by a son, Fredrick Vincent Armayor and wife, Jane of Albuquerque, NM; a daughter, Linda Armayor Jordan and husband, Dr. Michael Jordan of Midland, TX; grandchildren: Charles Wilson Moore of Medford, OR, Travis Vincent Armayor of Dallas, TX, David Armayor of Denver, CO, Joseph Douglas Jordan of Washington, DC, and Johnathan David Jordan of Midland, TX; numerous great-grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2006 at 4:30 p.m. at St. Nicholas Episcopal Church. Graveside Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery, Santa Fe, NM. Memorials may be directed to Midland College Nursing Program, Noonday Ministries of Albuquerque and Albuquerque Botanical Gardens.
