Alphie B. Torres, age 81, was born July 11, 1925 in Albuquerque, NM. She died Friday, December 1, 2006 at home in the arms of her loving family. Alphie is survived by her two children, Patrick J. Torres and Marcella Barela; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; many relatives and friends who loved and will miss her dearly. Viewing, Visitation and Services will be held at Valley Gospel Tabernacle, 1824 Valley Rd. SW. off Isleta between Bridge and Barcelona. The Viewing and Visitation will begin on Monday December 4, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Arrangements by Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th ST.
