Obituary for RUFFIN

Dottie Ann Ruffin, 78, of Albuquerque, passed away Friday, December 1, 2006. She was born October 22, 1928 in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dottie moved to Albuquerque in 1946 to go to UNM. She loved Albuquerque, and she knew the minute she saw the Sandia Mountains that this would be her home. She married Louie E. Ruffin Jr. on May 9th, 1952. Dottie was a loving mom, inventor, and an avid golfer. She was a member of Chi Omega, Junior League, and also a member of the Daughters of the Nile Organization. She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly, and son-in-law William F. Brunner Jr.; son Louie C. Ruffin, daughter-in-law Brandi, and daughter Lee Ruffin; grandchildren, Chase Ruffin, Taylor Ruffin, Harleigh Ruffin, and Katherine Brunner. Cremation Services were provided by French Mortuary Westside Chapel. The family would like to thank all of Dottie's friends, doctors, nurses and assisted living staff that worked so hard throughout the years to help her through the perils of her Bi-Polar Disease. Being Bi-Polar is a devastating disease that not only affects families and friendships; it weighs down the victims' heart and soul.
