Florencio Saavedra, age 76, our beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, went home to be with the Lord, Tuesday, November 28, 2006. Florencio Honorably served his country in the U.S. Army and loved spending time with his family, who were his pride and joy. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Emma Saavedra; his children, Jeff and wife, Glenda, Ronn and wife, Carol, Rick, Mary Ann and husband, Chris, Barbie and husband, David. His greatest treasures are his 12 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Consuelo, Jason, Nina, Mario, Chandice, Melissa, Megan, John Paul, Nadine, Rowena, and Shelbie. Also surviving are his two sisters, Lucy Ysco and Florinda Flores; other family members and friends who loved and will miss him. Memorial Services will be held at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna NW, on Friday, December 1, 2006. A Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery, 700 Yale SE, on Yale and Caesar Chavez SE, with U.S. Army Honors.
