Obituary for LUNDQUIST

Edward Bertil Lundquist, 73, a resident of Albuquerque for 25 years, passed away at his home on November 26, 2006 after a short illness. Ed was born in Chicago, IL on June 29, 1933. Ed served in the Korean War and played football for Florida State. After earning a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering at Ohio State he worked for the Bechtel Corporation for 25 years, traveling the world and working to help clean up the environment. Ed was a kind and gentle man, an environmental conservationist who dedicated his life to making the world a better place. Ed's love, Carol Rae, preceded him in death in November 2004. Ed is survived by his brothers, John Lundquist and wife, Betty, George Lundquist and wife, Mary Ellen; stepdaughter, Rachel Ortiz; eight nieces, nephews; and his cat, Buffy. Ed will be missed by all.
