Georgia L. Lopez, 68, peacefully went home to be with the Lord November 22, 2006. Georgia was a member of the Catholic Church, the Catholic Daughters, Reader and Eucharistic Minister, Marriage and Engaged Enrichment, Marriage preparation and counseling, the Cursillo and the Church Environment Committee. She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Deacon Demetrio Dan Lopez; Children Deb Sherer and husband Mike, Chris Lopez and fiancee, Dawn, Yvonne Lopez, Lala Carter and husband Alan; and Denise Alt and husband Karl; grandchildren Michael and Steven Sherer, Ally and Danny Lopez, Cody and Tyson Jones, Paul and Savannah Carter, and Joshua and Angela Alt; great grandson Shaun Vincent Lopez; brothers and sisters, Ernie C de Baca and wife Carmen, Lena Lopez, Marge Douglass, Jerry C de Baca and wife Dale, Pat Powers and husband Jim, Regina Wilmeth, and Liz Jimenez and husband Pete; as well as numerous brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews, godchildren, compadres, primos y primas, and friends. A Visitation will be held at Queen of Heaven, Thursday, November 23, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. following the Visitation. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 24, 2006 at 9:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Church. Interment will take place at The Gate of Heaven Cemetery following the Mass. Pallbearers will be Cody Jones, Josh Alt, Tyson Jones, Paul Carter, Daniel Armijo, and Joe Lopez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ally Lopez, Angela Alt, and Savannah Carter.
