Mary L. Welbourn, age 83, and a resident of Albuquerque for 60 years died Thursday November 16, 2006 following an illness. Mrs. Welbourn is survived by her daughter, Madonna L. Shepherd and her husband, Jack of Albuquerque; one brother, Wayne Lethgo of Georgia; three grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church. A viewing and visitation will be held Monday November 20, 2006 from 1:00 to 2:30 p.m. with a service to follow at 2:30 p.m. in the Palm Chapel of Strong-Thorne with Rev. Norman and Brenda Schwentor officiating. The body of Mrs. Welbourn will then be taken to Altus, OK for services and burial in the family plot. The family requests that donations be made to the Right to Life Association. All services are under the care and direction of: Strong-Thorne Mortuary 1100 Coal Ave. SE 842-8800
