Obituary for ORTEGA

Josefita F. Ortega (Fita), 82, passed away after a lengthy illness on November 5, 2006. She was preceded in death by her mother, Francescita Mora; her husband, Joe; daughter, Rebecca Andrade; and grandson, Michael Ortega. She is survived by sons, Leo Ortega and wife, Irene, Steve Ortega and wife, Margaret, Richard and wife, Frances; daughters, Barbara Wisneski and husband, Al (who was like a son), Patt Taylor, Fran Ortega, Cathy Brink, Sylvia Lopez, who was like a daughter; 19 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. She was a beautiful, loving and giving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved sports, especially Lobos basketball, was an avid Broncos fan, and she loved bowling. But her greatest love was for our Lord Jesus Christ. There will be a viewing on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Services will be on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 8600 Academy Rd. NE, with burial following at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd. NE. Pallbearers will be Joe Wisneski, Jim Reeves, Gary Lorenzen, Ruben Ortega, Steven Andrade, Danny Brink. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Ortega, Roderick Ortega, and the rest of the grandchildren.
