Dolores M. Silva Romero, age 59, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2006. She was the granddaughter of the late Aldofo and Savera Silva. Dolores was a hairdresser for 21 years and has been retired for the last 7 years. Since her retirement she has been taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed family gatherings and all of the heritage including listening to her family musicians. She had a strong Christian faith and enjoyed sharing her testimony. Dolores loved caring for others and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mike and Margaret Silva; cousin, Barney Silva; and brother-in-law, David Romero. Dolores is survived by her loving husband of 15 years, Frank Romero of Belen; daughter, Delora Silva of Belen; grandchildren, Marie and Margaret; brother, Mike Silva and his wife, Stella of Los Chavez; sisters, Loretta Dew and her husband, Daryle of Zapata, TX and Marcella Pandazis of Albuquerque; brother-in-laws, Cleto Romero, Hino Romero and his wife, Geraldine, and Gabriel Romero and his wife, Dolly; sister-in-law, Sheila Romero; and many loving nieces, nephews, and family. Services will be held at Calvary Chapel of Belen on Monday, November 6, 2006 beginning with a visitation at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Elizabeth Hesser, Michelle Harker, Dawn Clark, JoAnn Crawford, Debbie and Dee Dee Nieto, Mike and Ashley Pandazis. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leslie Leyba, and Marie Garcia.
