Larry Marek, 71, a resident of Albuquerque for 26 years, died Tuesday, October 31, 2006. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Lois Marek; son, Dan Marek; daughter, Deborah Vigil and husband, LeRoy; granddaughter, Mikayla Vigil; grandson, Justin Vigil; brothers, Tony Marek and wife, Irene. Ferdie Marek, and Frank Marek, and sisters, Pauline Sweeda, and Mary Gavlick. Senior Master Seargent Marek retired from the U.S. Air Force after 28 years of service. He was active in politics, campaigning for Congresswoman Heather Wilson. Cremation has taken place and a memorial Rosary will be recited Friday, 7:00 pm, at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Memorial Service will take place Saturday, 10:00 am, at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. Interment of cremated remains will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM.
