Gladys M. Davis, 84, a longtime resident of Albuquerque, passed away Monday, October 16, 2006. She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Farris E. Davis of Albuquerque; sons, Penn E. Davis and wife, Linda of Peralta, and Robert Jack Davis and wife, Rosie of Albuquerque; ten grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by her oldest son, Farris William Davis; and grandsons, Scott Davis and Farris Elmer Davis. Gladys was a longtime member of the Valley Christian Church. She had been active in politics since 1968 and served two terms as Bernalillo County Clerk. Mrs. Davis was a world class cook, homemaker and gardener. She raised three boys and one Marine. Services will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m., at Valley Christian Church, 2850 Gun Club Rd. SW. Interment will follow at Terrace Grove Cemetery in Belen.
