Obituary for LARNED

Barry James Larned, 45, a resident of Albuquerque since 1995 and previously of Annandale, NJ died unexpectedly on Friday, October 13th, 2006. He is survived by his beloved wife Adelaida and step-daughter, Lorielle Lovato, both of the home, his mother Carolyn Larned and step-father Robert Fisher of Etowah, NC, a brother, Scott Larned and wife Carey of Hendersonville, NC, a sister, Brynne Gilligan and husband Daniel of Milford, NJ, an aunt, Betty Lou Jamieson of Hendersonville, NC, a sister-in-law, Yolanda Sutton of Albuquerque, a brother-in-law Paul Lovato and family from Aztec, NM, a brother-in-law Harold Lovato from Farmington, NM, a mother-in-law Juanita B. Lovato from Farmington, NM, as well as many nieces, nephews and close friends. Mr. Larned was preceded in death by his father John E. Larned of Annandale, NJ. Mr. Larned graduated with honors from North Hunterdon Regional High School in Annandale, NJ, achieving the distinction of Who's Who among American High School Students. He also excelled in athletics achieving all-conference honors in both basketball and baseball. He attended Montclair State College until a career change called. He graduated from DeVries Institute which an associates degree in Engineering. He used his education to pursue a career with US West in Seattle, WA in the early stages of cellular telephone tower technology and was employed by Intel in Rio Rancho, NM as a Production Technician at the time of his death. Sports, gardening and spending time with his family and friends were his passions. Gardening became his main hobby as he blended the grasses and tress of his native New Jersey with the beautiful plants and natural landscaping of New Mexico. He also successfully and lovingly blended two families from different cultures and parts of the country together. He loved both and made friends with his outgoing personality. He lived a life worth living and will be missed by all he came in contact with. A Rosary will be recited on Monday, October 16th at 7:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, Westside Chapel, 9300 Golf Course Rd. NW. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. A Mass celebrating Barry's life will be held on Tuesday, October 17th at 9:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Church, 5712 Paradise, NW.
