Obituary for ADAMS

Lucille S. Adams, longtime resident of Jemez Springs and Rio Rancho, passed away on October 1, 2006 in Albuquerque. Mrs. Adams resided in Taos with her family since 2001. She was born in Jefferson City, MO on February 15, 1917 and was married to John A. Adams, Jr., a New Mexico native, for 61 years. Mr. Adams preceded her in death on August 25, 2001. Lucille (Cile) Adams is survived by her three children; a son, Thomas Adams and wife, Pat, of Missoula, MT, a devoted daughter, Lucille A. Adams and husband, John Dillon, of Taos, NM, and a son, John A. Adams III and wife, Margaret, of Sharpsburg, GA; grandchildren, Christopher Adams and wife, Korina, Kathy Adams and their mother, Frocene, Deb, and Larry Schock; and three great-grandchildren, Sloane, Mackenzie, and Spencer. Cile spent her life as an active mother and enthusiastic supporter of various church activities. She was a lifetime member, choir member, an organist at the Jemez Community Presbyterian Church in Jemez Springs, NM, and an accomplished musician and artist. She was an associate member of the United Church of Angel Fire in Angel Fire, NM, a member of the Order of Eastern Star, White Shrine in Albuquerque, NM. A recognition will be held by family members at the interment at the family gravesite near Jemez Community Presbyterian Church, where Lucile will be laid to rest next to her husband overlooking the Jemez Canyon at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11, 2006. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the American Diabetes Association-New Mexico Affiliate or Alzheimer's Disease & Related Disorders Association of New Mexico.
