Obituary for MONTOYA

Benjamin Montoya, 91, born June 26, 1915, died on Wednesday, October 4, 2006. He served in the U.S. Army Air Force as a turret gunner, also as a Mess Sergeant during WWII. Mr. Montoya was preceded in death by his parents, Marcelina and Toribio Montoya; wife of 65 years, Henrietta; brothers, Louis Montoya, Johnny Montoya, Tally Montoya, and Mel Montoya. He is survived by his sisters, Francis Garcia, Laura Garcia, Lupe Gutierrez, Fina Herrera; sisters-in-law, Carmelita Montoya and Mildred Montoya; son, Lorenzo; 25 nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Cremation has taken place and Memorial Rosary will be recited on Sunday, October 8, 2006, 7:00 p.m., at French Mortuary, University Blvd. Chapel. Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, October 9, 2006, 10:00 a.m., at Queen of Angels Chapel, 12th and I40. Interment of cremated remains will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
