Bill Brookover, 75, passed away on Saturday, September 23, 2006. Bill was born in Wichita, KS on October 25, 1930, and raised in Eureka, KS. He attended Kansas State University graduated from Missouri Valley College, where he met and married Joanne Brisley Brookover, his wife of 54 years. Bill served in Japan in the U.S. Army Rangers during the Korean War. The Brookovers have been residents of Albuquerque since 1978, where they owned and operated Saga Incorporated, a Southwest greeting card company, from 1980 to 1998. Bill was a ten year survivor of Lymphoma. Bill had a great love for dogs and football and was known for his friendliness, generosity, and wonderful sense of humor. He is survived by his wife, Joanne; his daughter, Linda; and granddaughter, India Brookover-Coleman. There will be a Memorial Service on Thursday, September 28, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the French Morturary at 7121 Wyoming NE. (505) 823-9400.
