Obituary for DENNETT

Sara Jane Dennett, 67, a resident of Albuquerque NM for more than twenty years, died Tuesday, September 19, 2006. She was preceded in death by her mother, Alice Bond Dickinson; her father, Henry Braswell Dickinson; and brother, David Lynn Dickinson. She is survived by her son, John Gage Dennett III and wife, Heather of Longmont, CO; sisters, Liz DeLeon and partner, John of Houston TX, Martha Alexander and husband, Kenneth of Bremerton, WA, Mary Jess Baze of Plano, TX, Ruth Ann Metheny and husband, Ralph of Raleigh, NC, and Sue Apodaca of Sarasota, FL; brothers, Daniel Dickinson and wife, Seung Hee of Sugarland, TX and George Mark Dickinson and wife, Jo Ann of Corpus Christi, TX; and a large extended family. Sara was born in Midland, TX, where she graduated from Midland High School; she also attended Texas Christian University and Fort Lewis College. Throughout the years, Sara was employed in a variety of interesting careers, including society reporter for the Hillsboro, TX newspaper, book-keeper in the oil industry in Midland, TX, staff member at Sandia Laboratories, and book-keeper for the U.S. Government in Albuquerque, NM. Sara will be remembered for her quick and playful wit, her love of music and mystery novels, her cheerfully colorful wardrobe, and love of all things eccentric. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2006, in the Community Room of the Santa Barbara Apartments, 1420 Edith NE, Albuquerque, NM. Mrs. Dennett's family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Laura Saavedra, Nurse Zandra Rise, and her neighbors at the Santa Barbara Apartments.
