Margaret (Margie) Thompson went home to be with her Lord on September 12, 2006 after a long illness. A long-time resident of New Mexico, Margie was a graduate of Roswell High School and UNM. Margie was a devoted high school math teacher and loved tutoring her students. She helped establish an online tutoring forum (P.A.T.H.). She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Thomas Thompson; daughter, Deborah Nelson and husband, Douglas of Colorado; grandchildren, Alexis, Autumn, and Shane; son, Steven Thompson and wife, Stacey of Colorado; grandchildren, Noelle, Jeremiah, and Joshua; daughter, Karen Thompson of Albuquerque; mother, Mildred Richardson of Edgewood; brother, Robert Richardson and wife, Joan of Delaware; sister, Virginia Kulpit and husband, Michael of Washington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Russell Richardson. A Memorial Service will be held at Temple Baptist Church (1613 Arizona St. NE) on Tuesday, September 19, 2006 at 6:30 p.m.
