Obituary for BUCK

Joseph J. "Joe" Buck, 84, went home to be with his Lord on September 11, 2006. He was born in Waterloo, IA on September 10, 1922. Having finished high school, he interrupted his college studies to serve his country during World War II as an ambulance driver and hospital orderly. After an honorable discharge, Joe received a Bachelor's Degree from Illinois Wesleyan University in 1949. He met Mae Soucek in El Paso, they were married in 1954. Joe worked in the insurance industry after college and later retired from the City of Albuquerque water department. Joe was an avid golfer throughout his life. He was a long time member of Calvary Chapel of Albuquerque and a beloved member of the Seniors Ministry "Silver Saints". Joe was preceded in death by Mae, his wife of 49 years and son, Jody. He is survived by his daughter, Joanne Gorman, husband, Bill; grandchildren, Katie and William of Grand Folks, ND; daughter, Cyndi Dorl, husband, Dave, grandchildren, Bethany, Arthur, and Deborah of Albuquerque. Services will be held at Calvary Chapel on October 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. Officiating the Service will be Pastor Skip Heitzig. Private Interment will be at Santa Fe National Cemetery on October 22, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Samaritan's Purse, P.O.
