Michael John McKeon "Mike", age 47, was born in Glen Ridge, NJ September 18, 1958. He passed away at his home in Albuquerque, Monday, September 11, 2006 after a long and courageous struggle with cancer. Michael owned and operated Phoenix Electric for over 20 years, up to the time of his death. He enjoyed fishing, karate, restoring cars, remodeling houses and most of all spending time with his beloved family and friends. Michael was an avid New York Giants Football fan and he also loved to entertain by play music of all types on his bass guitar. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Martin Sr. and Anita Marie McKeon and two brothers, Brian and David McKeon. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Jonetta McKeon of the family home in Albuquerque; one sister, Kathy Matz and husband, Jeff of Ogdensburg, NJ; one brother, Joseph McKeon Jr. of Newton, NJ; mother-in-law, Julia Fessler of Grants; brother-in-law, John Fessler and wife, Diane of Rio Rancho; sister-in-law, Jean Divine of Grants; 14 nephews and nieces; two great-nieces; one great-nephew; many other loving friends and neighbors who will miss him. A Visitation and Rosary will be held in the Chapel of Direct Funeral Services, 2919 4th St. NW, on Thursday, September 14, 2006. The Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. and the Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Church of the Risen Savior, 7701 Wyoming NE, on Friday, September 15, 2006 at 10:00 a.m., with U.S. Navy Honors.
