Henry P. SMsgt Henry P. "Hank" Ullrich, 90, longtime resident of Albuquerque, former World War II glider pilot, slipped the surely bonds of earth on September 8, 2006 and made his last flight. He was born in Altoona, PA and he served in the United States Army Air Corps. He continued his service in the United States Air Force, retiring after 32 years of honorable service to his country. Hank was a Veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He is survived by his dedicated and loving wife of 47 years, Virginia B "Bea" Ullrich; daughters, Regina R. Ullrich-Holmes and Renee M. Ullrich; sister-in-law, Lillian L. Ullrich; nephew, Stephen F. Ullrich; son-in-law, Frank Holmes; and granddaughter, Frankie Holmes. Hank is also survived by many caring nieces and nephews and extended family members. A Rosary will be held on September 13, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. at French Mortuary, 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE. Mass will be celebrated at the Shrine of St Bernadette, 11401 Indian School Rd. NE, on Thursday, September 14, 2006, at 9:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. French Mortuary 10500 Lomas Blvd. NE 275-3500
