Onofre Valdez passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 in Albuquerque at the age of 96. Mrs. Valdez is preceded in death by her husband Rosalio Valdez; children, Mary Ann Ealy, Gloria Ann Valdez and Chris Valdez. She is survived by her children, Margaret Baca and husband, Ben, Alice Tenorio, Benny Valdez and wife, Evelyn, Rosalio Valdez Jr., Bobby Valdez and Patsy, Patricia Diggins and husband, Frank, Tony Valdez and wife, Hilda, and Sandra Takei and husband, Tom. She is also survived by several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and nine great great-grandchildren. A Viewing will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at 6:30 p.m. A Rosary for Mrs. Valdez will be recited following the Viewing at 7:30 p.m. at San Clemente Catholic Church in Los Lunas. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, September 11, 2006 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Cuba, NM where the Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Vincent Valdez, Eddie Tenorio, Ben Baca Jr., Benito Valdez, Richard Torres, Arthur Lucero and Eddie Sanchez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Georgia Padilla, Monica Tanny, Celeste Soto, Dorena Valadez, Cecilia Bustamante, Julie Trujillo, and Dina Cano.
