Obituary for LOPEZ

Larry S. Lopez, 74, a resident of Albuquerque, passed on Saturday, September 2, 2006. He is survived by his wife, Liesel Lopez and their two sons, David and Charles (Aran) Lopez; his brothers and sister, Arthur, Edith, Clyde, Eddie, Delbert, Stanley and Gordon Lopez and their families. Larry graduated from Albuquerque High and received a master's degree in history from UNM. He served his country in the US Navy for 20 years; and also with 20 years service to Sandia National Labs. He was a member of several civic organizations, including president of Edelweiss am Rio Grande, also VFW Post 401 and American Legion Post 99. Larry loved history and historical research. He authored several books on New Mexico history. Larry requested cremation with no formal services.
