Obituary for CRAVENS

Virginia B Cravens, a resident of Albuquerque since 1958, passed away at home on September 3, 2006. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard H. Cravens, Jr., in 1970. Virginia was a U.S. History teacher at Albuquerque High School (1958-1964) and Del Norte High School (1964-1973). She loved to teach the U.S. Constitution and shared a life long intellectual excitement with her students. Virginia "collected universities;" Oxford and Cambridge in England, the Sorbonne, in Paris, and enjoyed classed at University of New Mexico for over thirty years. She traveled to Europe countless times. She is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Levy, and her husband, Juan; two sons, Richard H. Cravens III, and Robert Van Cravens and his wife Carol; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held.
