Luis Raymundo Sanchez went home to be with the Lord on September 1, 2006 at the age of 75. Luis was formally from Las Vegas, NM, and lived the rest of his life in the South Valley of Albuquerque. He retired from Kirtland AFB after 24 years. He served three years in the US Army, where he received a Purple Heart for the Korean War. Luis was active in the St. Edward Church, a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church, a member of Rancho De Ninos and several church activities. He was also the formal president of St. Vincent's. He loved to go camping, fishing, dancing, and spending time with his family. Visitations for Luis will be held on Monday, September 4, 2006, between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., with a Rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. in the Eighth Street Chapel of Garcia Mortuary. Final visitation will be on Tuesday, September 5, 2006, between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated, at 9:00 a.m., at St. Anne's Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Funeral services are in the care of: Daniels Family Funeral Services GARCIA MORTUARY 717 Stover Ave. S.W. 243-5222
