Pauline J. Sovich, 85, a resident of Albuquerque, NM passed away on Friday, August 25, 2006. Ms. Sovich was born on February 9, 1921 to Victor and Mary Veronica Gruba of Calumet City, IL. She attended school in Calumet City, IL. She married her husband, Steve Sovich, on May 25, 1940. Mr. and Mrs. Sovich had two children, Marlene and Charles. She was a member of St. Jude's Parrish of the Roman Catholic faith here in Albuquerque. Ms. Sovich was preceded in death by her son, Charles, in November 1970, and her husband, Steve, in August 1998. She is survived by her daughter, Marlene A. Balder, and her husband, Allen, of Albuquerque; grandchildren, Melissa Balder, Kevin (Kristi) Balder, and Jason Balder; and great-grandchildren, Michael and Allison. Private family services will take place at a later date. Cremation has taken place and Ms. Sovich will be laid to rest next to her husband and son at Holy Cross Cemetery in Calumet City, IL. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. Elaine Papafrangos and the staff at Laurel Skies Healthcare for the care and compassion given to the Sovich family.
