Obituary for SANDOVAL

Robert Sandoval 88, a lifelong New Mexico resident, entered into new life on Aug. 24, 2006. He was born on May 27, 1918, in Cuba, NM and grew up in San Ysidro, NM. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Eustacio, Felipe, Telesfor, and Luis; five sisters, Elzira, Rumalda, Christine, Sister Albertilla, O.F.M., and Esther. He is survived by his wife, Celia (Trujillo) Sandoval; four children, Gloria Ethridge and spouse, Greg of Denver, Patrick Sandoval of Denver, Shirley Romero and spouse, Jake Romero of Albuquerque, and Denise Saiz and spouse, Chris Saiz of Denver, five grandchildren: Annette Lucero and spouse, Allan Lucero, Laurence Romero, and Brian Romero, Angela Saiz, Andy Saiz; and five great-granddaughters. He is survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He worked for many years at Lath and Plaster Supply Co. as well as for Albuquerque Public Schools. Visitation and viewing will be held Sunday, Aug. 27, 2006 at the chapel of Fitzgerald and Son, 3113 Carlisle Blvd. NE. beginning at 4:00 p.m. followed by recitation of the rosary at 7:00 p.m. Mass of the Resurrection will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, August 28, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Lomas at Pennsylvania Ave. NE, in Albuquerque. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be sent to Amber Care Hospice, 5100 Indian School Rd. NE.
