Sandra Ann Reinert of Albuquerque passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2006, following a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born in Oklahoma City, OK, to Harold and Waudine Maloch. She married Dick Reinert on February 15, 1958, in Hobbs, NM. They have made Albuquerque their home since 1960. Survivors are her husband, Dick; her daughter, Melissa and her husband, Manuel Marquez of Artesia, NM; her sons, Mike Reinert, Sarajevo, Bosnia, Scott Reinert and wife, Teri of El Paso, TX, Todd Reinert and his wife, Shauna of Rio Rancho, NM. The six grandchildren are Shelby, Jessica, Tyler, Ashley, Nicole, and Vanya. Her sister, Karen Lowry of El Paso. Her nephew, Steve Lowry wife, Sandy, and children, Matthew and Savanna of Rockwall, TX. Sandy had a bachelor's and master's degrees from UNM. She was retired as a teacher with the Albuquerque Public Schools Language Clinic for Dyslexic Students. She was a founding member of the Southwest Branch of The International Dyslexic Association. She was active in Delta Kappa Gamma Teachers' Sorority. Sandy was an active member of St. John's United Methodist Church. Her great loves were her family and friends. Sandy enjoyed concerts, supporting the Lobos, and travel in the RV. Memorial Services will be held 4:00 p.m., Monday, August 28, 2006, at St. John's United Methodist Church, 2626 Arizona Street. Private family interment services will take place at Sunset Memorial Park, Albuquerque, NM.
