Mike "Ed" Mimovich, age 81, of Albuquerque and long-time resident of Elephant Butte, passed away, unexpectedly in his home in Albuquerque. Ed was born in Toltec, CO on July 3, 1925 to Micky and Alice Mimovich. He was a successful investment advisor for many years with Dain Rauscher in Albuquerque. He is survived by his wife, Janet of 35 years; sons, Michael Mimovich and his wife, Cyndi, Mark Mimovich and his wife, Renee; daughter, Jeannie Beck and her husband, Jim and their mother, Donna Mimovich; step-sons, Rick and Sandy Straub, David and Paulette Straub, Brad and Tracy Straub; grandchildren, Alexis, Marissa, Alexander, Nicole, Nicolas, Brittany, Alexandra, Ricky, Kurt, Brien, Stephanie, Kirsten, Tyler and Hunter. Ed was preceded in death by his daughter, Janice Mimovich, who he has now joined in Heaven. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, August 29, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at French Mortuary, Wyoming Blvd. Chapel. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, August 30, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Truth or Consequences.
