William S. Cole III passed away Friday, August 18, 2006. He was born April 7, 1934 in Albuquerque to William S. Cole, Jr. and Nell L. Headrick Cole. Mr. Cole went through school in Albuquerque and attended the University of New Mexico. He enlisted in the U.S. Army and served stateside and in Germany. Mr. Cole received his bachelor's degree from Cameron University in Lawton, OK. He and Ruth traveled extensively with William's military service. They returned to Albuquerque in 1992 after his military service. Mr. Cole was in sales in various fields in Albuquerque ending with a sales position at Terminix Pest Control. He was an active member of the Elks Lodge #461 and held several positions with the lodge through out the years. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth; daughter, Laurie Beth Brown of Lakewood, CO; three grandsons, Mark Brown, Ronald and Michael Burns, all of Lakewood, CO; and great-granddaughter, Zoe Brown of Illinois. Mr. Cole was preceded in death by his parents. Private Memorial Service will be held at a later date at Santa Fe National Cemetery. French Mortuary 1111 University Blvd. NE 843-6333
