Manuel Rivera Jr., age 73, beloved and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother, was called to his heavenly home by the Lord, Tuesday, August 22, 2006. He was a resident of Bernalillo, NM where he was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed working with his hand making wood craft items, the outdoors, joking, and dancing. Most people will remember him by the joy he got when he'd do the "Rain Dance". Manuel is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Mary Rivera of the family home; his children, Michael Anthony Rivera, Rosalinda Alarid, Annamarie Rivera, Debra Calderon and husband, Gonzalo, and Susan Lee Rivera; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters, Corine Perez, Alice Rivera; numerous nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. A Memorial Rosary will be recited Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Church. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday at 10:00 a.m. also at church.
