James L. Nunez was born in Kelly, NM on July 16, 1919. He had passed peacefully at home with his family. James was an excellent husband and great father. There was nothing he wouldn't do for anybody he loved, his cheerful and loving personality attracted many friends, whom he never forgot to call or visit with. James is survived by his six children: oldest daughter, Mercy and husband, Efrien Chavez whom he resided with, oldest son, James Nunez and wife, Rita, second daughter, Eunice Roybal and husband, Art, third daughter, Katy Chesawella and husband, Barry, second son, Gilbert Nunez and wife, Addie, and youngest son, Frank Nunez. James had 23 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren whom he loved deeply. They'll all miss their "Grandpa Shicken"! Visitations for James will be on Friday, August 18, 2006 from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service to follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Stover Chapel of Garcia Mortuary.
