Dennis W. Ross was born on September 26, 1944 in San Antonio, TX, the son of Carl W. and Lorraine E. Ross. He passed away on Friday, August 4, 2006 at his residence in Cortez, CO at the age of 61. On February 4, 1966, Dennis married his wife, Renee M. Turner, in Albuquerque, NM. Dennis taught for the Albuquerque Public Schools System and retired from the Albuquerque Technical Vocational Institute (TVI) in 1993. Dennis was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed playing with his grandson, Beau, and visiting with his family. He loved the outdoors, especially fly fishing, camping, and long motorcycle rides. He was also a talented woodworker. He was a longtime member of the Elks Lodge #461 and 1789. Surviving Dennis are his wife of 40 years, Renee M. Ross of Cortez, CO; his daughters, Michelle K. Ross of Denver, CO, and Tara L. Anderson, husband, David, and son, Beau Mitchell of Albuquerque, NM; his granddog, Belvedere; and grandkitties, Psycho and Houdini. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, David; and special dog, Rafkin No-No. Cremation has taken place and a private Family Service will be held in Albuquerque.
