Obituary for MILLER

Gertrude Bertram Miller passed away on August 8, 2006 at the St. Mary's Nursing Center in Leonardtown, MD. She was born September 11, 1914 in Jamestown, NY. In 1935 she married George Harold Miller. They lived in Meadville, PA until they moved to Albuquerque, NM in 1946. Gertrude worked with the Albuquerque Public School's cafeteria department as a bookkeeper. She was preceded in death by Harold in 1993. In 1999 she moved to St. Mary's County in Maryland to be near her sister. She is survived by her sister, Grace Hilder of California, MD; by her son and his wife, David and Katherine Miller of San Diego, CA; by her son and his wife, Dennis and Nancy Miller of Ladera Ranch, CA; and by her daughter and her husband, Judith and James Harris of Albuquerque. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. Gertrude could always be found with some type of needlework in her hand, the joy of which she passed on to her daughter. She was an avid sports fan, and was active in the Episcopal Church. A Memorial Service will be held at Trinity Church in St. Mary's, MD on August 15, 2006. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, P.O.
